Our V&V Process
Trianz follows a comprehensive V&V process that helps the client as well as the testing team in:
- Identifying the testing requirements and planning testing strategies
- Executing all the work in systematic and transparent manner
- Incorporating client feedback at all critical levels
- Reducing testing cycle time and costs
- Increasing process efficiency and generating measurable results
- Documenting and analyzing the defects for faster defect rectification

We tailor our V&V process to meet the specific requirements of our clients. Our experienced and certified team ensures that we generate optimum results.
Testing Methodologies We Use
- Manual Testing Services include unit testing, ad-hoc testing, GUI testing, positive and negative testing, data integrity testing, and link testing. We also conduct vulnerability tests during manual testing with the various tools that are available for conducting such tests.
- Automated Testing is ideal in today's market as it helps in avoiding the heavy maintenance burden of manual software testing, which hampers the time management and cost value. Our team suggests the most suitable test automation plan based on the requirement and feasibility analysis. Appropriate tools and applications are then used to create a customized test automation system design. Our approach for automated testing includes implementation and maintenance of test automation system, creating simulation environments, leveraging industry standard tools, and developing customized tools, among others.
We focus strongly on test automation to ensure that the client gets maximum value out of the testing activities. We believe automated testing is strategic for product engineering delivering long term value and helping achieve cycle time reduction, efficiency improvement, and faster time-to-market for the client.

Our dedicated testing labs with state-of-the-art infrastructure has become a platform for building proof of concepts against client specific requirements and for in-house training of Trianz's engineering team. Salient features of our infrastructure include:
- Experienced and dedicated testing teams comprising over 80 test engineers, test managers, and project managers. We organize regular and extensive trainings on different tools and technologies for our team. Trianz is in the process of building a V&V Center of Excellence (CoE) which will streamline the process of team training even further. We also provide Certified Software Tester training to our team members. These are formal recognition of their level of proficiency in the software testing industry by QAI; and the ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing by Quexst Associates.
- Fully-equipped test labs with generic process and automation tools having comprehensive Test Management System to house all test artifacts and reports. This system is interfaced with a generic automation bed to reduce manual intervention in all levels of testing. Our state-of-the-art labs are completely secured and conform to all industry and regulatory standards.
- Lab equipment such as simulated wireless network environment for testing mobile applications is used. The environment comprises OMA compliant application servers, test plans, test cases and generic devices for functionality tests. We also have the capabilities to replicate the lab setups in the client’s offshore development centers based on specific requirements of the clients.
- Lab network and security - Each client's testing lab network is built outside Trianz's generic network and is fully secured with a firewall. This ensures that all client-specific information remains well within the lab premises. All labs have restricted access to only the users who are authorized for lab execution or for a client specific requirement. Lab entry and exit times are tracked and are swiped into a centralized database system.
- Virtual verification and validation lab which meet client requirements for offshore development at Trianz's facilities.
Our Approach
We adopt an appropriate lifecycle model on project initiation and a project management planning process in consultation with the client.
Development and verification and validation model - Having well defined processes and templates, the best practices of eXtreme programming are built into this model.
Some of the typical activities in this model are:
Analysis:
- System analysis and requirements gathering
- Requirements specification and prototyping
- High level design
- Detailed design
- Review
- Test strategy, test plan, test case design and development
- Test automation framework
- Construction and unit testing
- System and integration testing
- Bug fixing
- Release for acceptance
- Reviews
- Project management
Independent verification and validation model - A comprehensive model, it typically includes stages such as:
Test consultancy model – Blending both engineering skills with operational mindset, Trianz offers a team and management set-up for our clients. Our focus is on end-to-end product design and the complete software development lifecycle while also taking care of operational changes within engineering. We aim to understand the product strategy of the client to define an operational process that increases efficiency and drives optimal product design.
